Kisah Hidup Isaac Newton

           Tahun 1642 tepat di hari natal lahirlah seorang bayi prematur yang bernama Isaac Newton. Ia hidup dalam keluarga yang serba kekurangan bersama ibunya yang bernama Hannah bekerja sebagai petani karena suaminya telah meninggal dunia. Pada usia yang ketiga Newton harus berpisah dengan ibunya karena ibunya ingin menikah lagi dengan seorang pendeta dari desa sebelah sehingga Newton harus ditinggal dan menjalani hidup bersama neneknya.

           Newton mulai melakukan eksperimen dengan membuat mainan dan perkakas sendiri dari kayu. Pada umur 6 tahun Newton bersekolah di sekolah swasta, setelah lulus SD Newton melanjutkan sekolah di Grantham, karena jarak antara sekolah dan rumah jauh, maka Newton kecil kost dirumah apoteker. Dari situ dia mulai melakukan banyak eksperimen dan banyak penemuannya yang menggemparkan kota sehingga pada saat itu ia dijuluki penemu remaja.

The Monkey and The Crocodile (Narrative Text)

Good morning audience. In this beautiful chance, let me tell you very interesting story, undertittle The Monkey & The Crocodile.

Once upon a time there lived a monkey in a Rambutan tree by a river. The monkey was alone and he had no friends, no family, but he was happy and content. The Rambutan tree gave him plenty of sweet fruit to eat, and shade from the sun and shelter from the rain.

One day a crocodile came swimming up the river and climbed on to the bank to rest under the monkey's tree.

“Hey! What are you doing here?”, asked the monkey.

“Uuugh, I am tired. I’ve been looking for food, but I didn’t get it. I haven't had anything to eat all day, there just don't seem to be any fish left in the river. Do you know where can I get some food?”

“Well, I don't eat fish so I wouldn't know, but I do have plenty of ripe purple Rambutans in my tree. Would you like to try some?”

 Then the monkey threw the Rambutans to the crocodile. The crocodile was so hungry that he ate all the Rambutans, even though crocodiles don't eat fruit. He loved the sweet Rambutan and shyly asked whether he could get more Rambutans.

“Sure, you can have more Rambutans. Come back whenever you feel like more fruit”, replied the monkey generously, throwing down more fruit to the crocodile.

After that the crocodile would visit the monkey every day. The two animals soon became friends. They began talking and telling each other stories, and eating as much, of the sweet Rambutans as they wanted. The monkey would throw down all the fruit that the crocodile wanted from his tree.

One day the crocodile began talking about his wife. The monkey was shocked and he said..

“Why didn't you tell me earlier that you had a wife? Please take some of the Rambutans for her, as well, when you go back today.” The crocodile thanked him and took some Rambutans for his wife.

Arriving at home, he gave it to his wife. And his wife loved the Rambutans. She had never eaten anything so sweet before. And she talked to his husband, “Imagine! How sweet would be the animal who eats these Rambutans every day. The monkey has eaten these every day of his life. His flesh might be sweeter than the fruit. Do you think we can invite him? So that we can eat him up” she said happily.

The crocodile was appalled, how could he eat his friend? He tried to explain to his wife that he couldn’t possibly eat the monkey.

“No, dear,.. he is my only true friend”

 “Since when do crocodiles eat fruit and spare animals?” she asked. When the crocodile wouldn’t agree to eat the monkey, she pretended to fall very sick.

“Only a monkey's heart can cure me. If you love, me you will get your friend and let me eat his heart.”

The poor crocodile didn’t know what to do. He didn’t want to eat his friend, but he couldn’t let his wife die. At last he decided to bring the monkey to his wife. Quickly he went to the Rambutan tree.

“Hello my friend, where are you?”, he called as soon as reached the Rambutan tree.

“Hi! I am here, what’s going on?"

“My wife insists you to come to our house for a meal. She is grateful for all the fruit that you have sent her, and asks that I bring you home with me.”

The monkey was flattered, but said he couldn’t possibly go because he didn’t know how to swim.

“Don't worry about that. I'll carry you on my back.” said the crocodile

Then the monkey agreed and jumped onto the crocodile's back. Quickly the crocodile swam with him out, into the deep wide river. When they were far away from the bank and the Rambutan tree, the crocodile said

“My wife is very ill. The only thing that can cure her, is a monkey's heart. So, dear friend, this will be the end, of you and of our friendship.” The monkey was horrified. What could he do to save himself? He thought quickly and said

“Dear friend, I’m very sorry to hear of your wife's illness, and I’m glad that I will be able to help her. But, I have left my heart on the Rambutan tree. Do you think we could go back, so that I can fetch it for your wife?'

The crocodile believed the monkey. He turned and swam quickly to the Rambutan tree. The monkey leaped off his back and climbed on to the tree.

“False and foolish friend, don't you know that we carry our hearts within us? I will never trust you again, or ever give you fruit from my tree. Go away and don't come back again.”

The crocodile felt really foolish. He had lost a friend and a supply of sweet fruit. The monkey had saved himself because he had thought quickly. Then they realised that a monkey and a crocodile could never be true friends. Crocodiles preferred to eat monkeys rather than be friends with them.

      Thailand is a country that located in the southeast Asian that still consistence in the form of Royal. Its culture and tradition have exotic value for tourists to come. Some tourist resort which show tradition and culture become popular tourist destination. Besides it, Thailand also develop and manage the unique side of the tourist resort well, like preserved the ancient artefact, especially Buddhist Temple, that because thailand is very thick with nuances of Buddhist with elephant as the icon from this country.

My Trip to Bangkok (Recount Text)

An Unforgettable Experience

          Last holiday, I and 11 selected students together with 5 teachers were given a mandate from school to visit our new partnership in Thailand. It was Sainampeung School.

         We visited Thailand for about four days. It was begun on 21^st of June 2011. We left Purwokerto to Jakarta by Bima Train. Arriving in Jakarta, then we went to Soekarno-Hatta Airport. And we took off to Bangkok for three hours. In Suvaranbhumi Airport, we met some Sainampeung students who picked us up there. Then we intended to the hostel.
